Dont panic!

This is my first project in Unreal Engine. Its a VR experience where you play as a stressed nurse in a hospital. You have to help patients before their time runs out. Your goal is to make it to the end of your shift without losing any patients.
Or going insane...

Help Patients

Use bandages to heal patients. Just grab a bandage and touch the patient's wound with it.

Hurry!

Dont let the patients wait too long or they will die! And you will start to go insane...

Hand Collision Code

Dont get overwhelmed!

The longer your shift goes on the more patients will arrive. You have to keep up!

Teleport system

You can teleport to rooms by clicking the doors

First I check if the right trigger is pressed 70% or more

Then I sent a linetrace from the controller forward and when it hits something that has the interface DoorInterAction it calls the "OpenDoor" function

(I check with an interface because I found it fast and it looked easy, but I know its not optimal)

Lastly I fade the screen to black and teleport the player to the room he needs to be in

Timersystem

I made the sytem for the timers above the doors. At the beginning only one timer is active. Overtime more timers start and their durations decrease.

When the game starts it started 1 timer quickly, then it starts the looping system

This is the main blueprint that manages what timers and when they start

First it checks if a new timer can be started

When that returns true it starts searching in a map of doors for one that is not active yet

(This blueprint breaks when I show it here)

It checks this by looking at the struct every door has and see if the starttime is less than 0, because the default value is -1

When it found a door then it sets the duration and starttime for the struct of the door

Then it starts the timer and then repeats...

And this is how I update the timer for the countdown

Applying band-aid

I check if the patient collides with the band-aid by using a tag

The "applying" is done by setting the visibility of the band-aid and the blood. I also turn on a green light and play a sound to let the player know they fixed the patient

At the end I reset the timer of the door that connects to the room you are in
